Discover Your Happy Video Launch for Back to School

by LG Happiness Project | September 30, 2020

Focused on students, parents and teachers, a new video series by LG Electronics and Discovery Education has launched in time for back to school. The video series is the latest resource from LG’s corporate social responsibility program, Experience Happiness, to help cultivate emotional wellness and resiliency with teens for success in school and beyond.

Whether learning takes place at-home, in classrooms or a combination of the two, helping students manage the stresses of school in any learning environment requires access to resources wherever they are.

The videos focus on practicing the six sustainable happiness skills, which form the foundational elements of the Experience Happiness program. According to Emiliana Simon-Thomas, Ph.D., science director at UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center, “practicing the six sustainable happiness skills can shift the way your brain works and create more happiness.”

Divided into six videos, one for each skill, mindfulness, positive outlook, gratitude, generosity, human connection and purpose, these resources can be used together as a class or assigned individually to students studying remotely or at school. These quick tools can help build resilient teen happiness, especially important as symptoms of anxiety and depression are on the rise due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In partnership with Discovery Education and the UC Berkeley Greater Good Science Center, LG is providing these six videos for you and your family to enjoy.
