Day of Learning on the International Day of Happiness

Event

LG is celebrating the International Day of Happiness on March 20th by announcing that we’ve helped reach over 1.8 million teens with the skills to help them on the path to Sustainable Happiness, but this is just the start on our journey to reach 5.5 million.  In fact, on March 20th, LG and Discovery Education are continuing to build momentum by hosting a Day of Learning.

What is the Day of Learning?

The Day of Learning is a day-long, nationwide conversation designed to create meaningful dialogue around the importance of happiness and deliver new resources and tips for practicing happiness skills with teachers, students and families.

Throughout the day, we will explore the Six Sustainable Happiness Skills – Mindfulness, Positive Outlook, Purpose, Gratitude, Generosity, and Human Connection, delve into the science behind happiness and connect live with researchers from the Greater Good Science Center at U.C. Berkeley, happiness experts from Project Happiness and Inner Explorer and education experts from Discovery Education and CASEL.

Don’t miss your chance to find new content and hear how educators and students are practicing happiness skills to improve learning and overall well-being.

How to Join

Join us on Twitter @DiscoveryEd using #DiscoverYourHappy beginning at 9am EST for a “Get Ready to Learn” kickoff exercise.  Day of Learning sessions will be held at 10:00am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm and closing at 5:00pm. Engage live for all sessions or just one.  Sessions run approximately 30 minutes.
