Bringing Happiness Back to School in Clarksville

Article

As the calendar flips toward the new school year, it can be stressful to transition into back- to- school mode. The anticipatory anxiety leading up to the first day of school can carry some uneasy feelings. Luckily, thanks to our partners, there are tools to help combat this #Day1 stress and anxiety that school can bring. You guessed it — it’s our Experience Happiness program — and we went all out for Kenwood Middle School.

At Kenwood Middle School’s Back to School night, we hosted a Back to School Block Party to get new students started on the right path for the new school year.

Students, parents, teachers and faculty had the opportunity to learn about the Experience Happiness program and how they could access it through their new classroom.

Activation stations were set up highlighting each of the six Sustainable Happiness Skills, Human Connection, Mindfulness, Gratitude, Purpose, Generosity and Positive Outlook, which are key pillars of the Experience Happiness program.

Since 2018, Kenwood Middle School and 24 local schools have participated in the Experience Happiness program. But this year, LG is thrilled that the program has expanded to all 41 schools in the Clarksville -Montgomery School District! With this program, students can start their school year off on the right foot and keep back- to-school stress at bay.
